Treatments

The basis of all massage therapy treatments include the use of general Swedish massage techniques. With that, we can then add one or multiple different modalities to our treatments to benefit and affect a wide variety of ailments. Whether it's cupping for chronic muscle tension, or hot stone for deep relaxation. Depending on your treatment goals, your therapist can tailor your treatment to fit your personal needs!

Head Massage

Swedish Massage Therapy

Swedish massage is a form of treatment that uses gliding, flowing movements that focuses on providing general relaxation, relieving muscle tension and increasing blood circulation. A treatment solely focused on relaxation is simply just called a "Relaxation Massage", which uses more general, Swedish massage techniques.

The primary goal of this service is to allow the patient to escape the demands of their everyday tasks and to take quality time to recover from their daily stresses.

Trigger Point Therapy

A trigger point is known as a hyperirritable spot or a palpable nodule in the taut bands of a muscle. Patients often refer to trigger points as "knots". The therapist will locate these trigger points and apply pressure to the tender tissue in order to relieve pain and dysfunction in the body. This type of therapy can be painful or uncomfortable while being performed, due to the nature of the treatment.

Shoulder Massage

Deep Tissue Therapy

This is a hands-on body treatment that leaves patients feeling relaxed and renewed. This treatment is used to release chronic muscle tension and pain by using slow and deep techniques.

Fascial techniques can also be used in deep tissue massages. These techniques are done without a massage medium such as lotion/oil in order to create heat and friction to help release areas of tension or adhesions.

This technique is a traditional Chinese healing method that uses a smooth edged tool- such as stone, metal or treated wood, to work through the muscles in the body. Cupping

Cupping uses plastic or silicone "cups" placed on the clients body (location varies depending on client goals and treatment focus) and suction is applied via small suction device or using force to create the suction within silicone cups. Cupping cause a pulling up focus instead of the usual pushing down of Massage Therapy. Cupping has the ability to affect issues on a deeper level, decrease fascial restrictions, and increase range of motion.

Cupping has the potential to leave small, painless discolorations on the skin for 30 mins to 2 weeks depending on level of suction and the bodies response due to increase in blood circulation and the creation of blood vessels.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic drainage is used during treatment to help relieve swelling that happens when medical conditions or illnesses block the lymphatic system from draining properly. This form of treatment is very light and lets the therapist manipulate areas of the body to help lymph move to an area with working vessels easing the swelling in your tissue.
